A New Way To Troll In League Of Legends

So apparently there's a new mode in League of Legends—in the
public beta at least— called: The Nemesis Draft. In this new mode you can choose your
opponent’s champion for them. I haven't played a single game of LoL in over a
year (I know, kudos to me), but I'll be damned if that doesn't sound stupid
fun.
I would really only go back to play some League for fun and
only if we had a full complement of players to make a team. Personally I think
that is where this mode would shine. We used to fuck around all the time with
team comps and what have you, so why not let someone else choose for you? At
the same time, you troll them back with what you think is the most horrifying
team imaginable.
Another funny point to this is that it's all done in draft
mode. If you've never played LoL before, draft mode lets teams pick characters
back and forth, so you can strategically pick characters to counter another
person's choice. The key feature being that each team is allowed to ban 3
characters (6 in total between both teams). Normally, you would obviously ban
the strongest characters you just don't want to deal with in a match. With this
bizarro mode, teams will now ban the shittiest of the shit.
Of course like I said, I would only ever do this with a full
team since doing it alone has its issues. Currently on the forums there are a
number of annoyed players complaining about people just quitting games during
the character select. Understandably, people are poor sports and can't deal
with what they get. The penalty for being a jerk is 5 minutes in time out—obviously
not a very strong counter measure—if they are just going to be babies about it,
they should just not play the "optional" mode.
In any case, I would still like to see a couple of additions
or changes to the format. As it stands right now, you pick which player gets
which character. What I would like is if you can at least decide, as a team,
who gets issued which character. This way, if someone knows how to at least use
the random character, they can. Another cool thing would be to add blind pick
to this mode. This way you won't even know what you're getting, thus making it
impossible to counter a character in advance like you can do during a draft
pick.
